Human Rights Organization condemns US aggression’s attack on Migrant Shelter in Sa’ada

Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms strongly condemned the massacre committed by US aggression after it targeted a shelter for undocumented African migrants in Sa’ada province, which housed over a hundred individuals.

In a statement , the organization stated that in the early hours of Monday, April 28, 2025, the United States carried out a horrific massacre that violates all religious, legal, and international humanitarian norms by bombing the migrant shelter. The attack has so far killed 68 residents and injured 47 others, most with critical wounds.

The organization emphasized that this massacre has no minimal military justification and can only be interpreted as a deliberate act by the United States to target civilians, kill them, and destroy their property.

It noted that this was not the only atrocity in the past twelve hours, as US warplanes also bombed residential homes in Thaqban neighborhood of Bani Al-Harith District in the capital secretariat, causing three houses to collapse on their occupants. Eight people were killed, and others were injured, in addition to partial and total destruction of civilian property.

Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms called on international organizations, the United Nations, and refugee agencies to investigate this heinous crime, condemn it, and hold the United States fully accountable—demanding justice and punishment, especially since the shelter was under the supervision of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
