Parliament condemns U.S aggression massacre in Farwah neighborhood & market in Capital Sana’a

The Parliament condemned the brutal and horrific massacre committed by the US aggression in the Farwa neighborhood and market in the Shu’ub district of the capital, Sana’a, which claimed the lives of dozens of civilians.

In a statement issued today, the House affirmed that targeting residential neighborhoods and popular markets are war crimes against humanity that do not expire with the passage of time. The latest of these crimes was the terrorist massacre that targeted a residential neighborhood and a popular market crowded with civilians in the capital, Sana’a, and other crimes committed by the US aggression in several governorates.

The House considered this horrific crime, along with other brutal crimes and massacres committed by the US aggression, a violation of Yemeni sovereignty and a blatant transgression of international law and humanitarian conventions that criminalize the targeting of cities, residential neighborhoods, and civilian objects, and the terrorizing of civilians.

The Council stressed that the continued violations and massacres committed by the American enemy against civilians in residential neighborhoods and popular markets will not deter the Yemeni people from continuing to support and stand with the Palestinian people, who are being subjected to the most heinous massacres and genocidal warfare, and a comprehensive blockade preventing the entry of aid, fuel, water, food, and medicine to the Palestinian people. This is part of a policy of starvation and forced displacement practiced by the criminal Zionist enemy entity with American and Western support.

The Council reiterated its warning of the danger of this criminal American escalation, which targets civilians, civilian objects, and the resources of the Yemeni people.

It held the United Nations, the UN Security Council, their affiliated bodies, the international community, and international organizations fully responsible for their silence on the violations and crimes committed by the American-Zionist aggression against the Palestinian and Yemeni peoples, in full view and hearing of the world.
