Sana’a archaeology condemns US aggression’s targeting of archaeological sites
The office of the General Authority for Antiquities and Museums in Sana’a province condemned the US aggression targeting archaeological sites in Nuqam Mountain.
A statement issued by the office, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), condemned the US aggression’s targeting of the ancient fortress of Nuqam with ten raids last night, in a blatant aggression that adds to the series of crimes committed by the US enemy against Yemen’s land, people and history.
The statement stressed that the aggression’s insistence on targeting archaeological , historical sites and monuments in the province are war crimes that contradict international , humanitarian norms , charters , reveal the extent of bankruptcy and degeneration that the criminal American enemy has reached.
The statement appealed to the international community and international organizations concerned with human heritage, especially UNESCO, to intervene to stop the crimes of the aggression against the Yemeni people and their human heritage.
