Yemeni FM holds America & Britain responsible for threatening international navigation & trade after their aggression against Yemen

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the American-British aggression against the capital, Sana’a, and Hodeida, Hajjah, Sa’ada, and Taiz provinces is illegal and contrary to international law and the purposes of the United Nations Charter.

The Ministry explained in a statement ) that the American-British aggression, which resulted in the death of five and the injury of six others, represents a stark picture of the failure of the Security Council to carry out its responsibilities in maintaining international peace , security and preserving the lives of civilians, in light of the current structure of its membership.

FM statement stated that this aggression came after the failure of Washington, London, Paris, Berlin, and a number of Western capitals that support the Zionist enemy militarily, politically, financially, and logistically, to pressure Sana’a with enticement and intimidation to stop its support for the Palestinians in Gaza Strip.

It pointed out that the aggression came after the American enemy targeted boats belonging to the Yemeni naval forces and the death of 10 Yemeni martyrs, and carried out misleading media campaigns in order to prepare world public opinion that Sana’a threatens the international shipping line in the Red Sea,the Strait of Bab, Washington, London and Paris took advantage of its permanent membership in the Security Council

To adopt Resolution 2722, which is a precedent that establishes legal chaos on the international scene and the emergence of conflicts in various parts of the world.

It reiterated its emphasis that the Republic of Yemen, which has been steadfast for nine years in the military aggression’s face and a siege that created the worst man-made humanitarian disaster, will not be deterred by the American-British aggression from continuing its humanitarian and moral duty towards the Palestinians.

The statement held America and Britain responsible for the safety of maritime navigation and international trade in the Red Sea region, Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Arabian Sea, as the presence of their forces is illegal and considered a form of occupation that must be fought by all countries overlooking the Red and Arabian Seas.
