President Al-Mashat proposes initiative to end military fronts in Taiz
President of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, Mahdi Al-Mashat, proposed on Monday joint Taiz province management and the cessation of military fronts to ensure the province’s stability and prevent conflict.
During an expanded meeting on Monday in Taiz, Al-Mashat indicated, that the province is being targeted in order to exhaust the state of ambition and aspiration of the province’s people, known for its culture and creativity, who have the largest share in building this country.
President Al-Mashat noted that Taiz’s people are still being targeted by Saudi-led coalition countries, he added.
“There is bad and negative exploitation of the situation inside the city of Taiz, as a result of bad management and the implementation of the agendas of the enemy who does not care about the citizen,” he said.
He affirmed that the enemy has a strong desire to maintain chaos and destroy all human-related items within its control areas.
Observers confirmed President Al-Mashat’s initiative would tip the scales in Taiz, but its success depends on the other party’s understanding and response, expecting that the other party’s interaction with the initiative will be weak, especially since the other party rejected previous initiatives presented by Sanaa, including the initiative to open roads presented by the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa in May 2022.
