Eritrean authorities release dozens of Yemeni fishermen

About 55 Yemeni fishermen arrived on Monday in Hodeida province after being detained by the Eritrean authorities for several months.

Local sources said the Yemeni fishermen were detained in one of prisons on the coastal island of Assab of Eritrea.

The Eritrean authorities are constantly arresting Yemeni fishermen without justification while they are fishing in Yemeni territorial waters, confiscating their boats and fishing tools in light of total international silence and a clear inability on the part of the coalition-backed government to stop these violations.
