YMU: The Zionist enemy’s targeting media professionals is a dangerous escalation aimed at covering up its crimes against civilians
The Yemeni Media Union(YMU) considered the Zionist enemy’s continued targeting of media professionals a dangerous escalation aimed at covering up the crimes and violations it commits against civilians, women and children in Gaza Strip.
In a statement, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Union expressed its condolences to the families of the martyrs and the media community on the martyrdom of Palestinian journalists Saeed Al-Taweel and Muhammad Solh Rizq, and the injury of photographer Hisham Al-Nawabgha in an Israeli raid.
While they were documenting the evacuation of a house in Gaza City.
It confirmed that the Zionist enemy continues to commit crimes against civilians in Palestine, including media professionals who have been covering and documenting the aggression against citizens in Gaza Strip and its environs since October 7th.
The Union called on all media professionals, jurists, organizations and institutions working in the field of media, rights and freedoms to stand in solidarity with media professionals working in Palestine, to prosecute, hold accountable the perpetrators of this crime, to put pressure on the Israeli enemy ,force it to stop targeting media professionals and media institutions in Palestine.
It praised the role of free media professionals working in the field and who convey to the whole world the truth about what is happening in Gaza Strip in terms of crimes and violations committed by the Israeli enemy against the elderly, women, children and civilians.
The Union stressed the importance of continuing media coverage and documenting these crimes, considering the Palestinian issue as a comprehensive issue for the Islamic nation.
