Capital Municipality commemorates seventh anniversary of aggression massacre in Grand Hall

The Capital Municipality commemorated on Sunday the seventh anniversary of the Great Hall massacre committed by the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition on October 8, 2016, killing and injuring of more than a thousand people.

The head of the caretaker government, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, confirmed during the event attended by the Speaker of the Shura Council, Muhammad Hussein Al-Aidaroos, that the crime of the Great Hall, and other war crimes committed by the aggression coalition against the Yemeni people, will remain engraved in the memory of generations.

He pointed out that everyone on this day remembers the righteous martyrs and the blood of the free people that were shed in this hall, like other crimes committed against the Yemeni people over a period of nine years, in order to remind the world and humanity of these heinous crimes. He explained that the people have drank and are still drinking the pain and suffering as a result of aggression and siege.

He said, “The free Yemenis sacrificed a lot and stood firm and steadfast in the face of aggression, and this crime and other crimes committed by the aggressors in funeral and wedding halls, schools, or even prisons will remain a disgrace on the foreheads of their perpetrators.”

He added, “We must not forget the crimes of aggression. In this hall alone, more than a thousand people fell, either martyred or wounded, and we must realize that those who are determined to antagonize our people do not possess an iota of humanity, morals, or even the courage that the Arabs once had.”

The caretaker Prime Minister continued, “We must never forget what happened in the afternoon of that fateful day, in which a group of the best men of Yemen were killed, from all governorates of the Republic.” Pointing to the importance of commemorating the aggression’s massacres in Sanaban, Mustaba, Dhahyan, and in the rest of the provinces and cities which witnessed horrific crimes against the Yemeni people.

He added, “On an occasion like this, we must not forget our national and humanitarian duty toward the families of the martyrs and their children. Everyone sacrificed their lives for one goal, which is to defend the homeland and win its right to live in independence and dignity.”

In his speech, Dr. Bin Habtoor touched on the open battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, which was initiated by the free Palestinian people and their valiant resistance against the Zionist enemy, which enabled them to storm the walls of the occupied land.

Pointing out that occupied Palestine was and will remain a right of the Palestinian people, who yesterday offered a group of martyrs in exchange for the killing and capture of many barbaric Zionists, who came from all corners of the earth to occupy the land of Palestine.

He blessed the Lebanese resistance fighters to join this blessed battle… considering what happened yesterday in occupied Palestine as an indication of the beginning of the downfall of the Zionist project, and a history lesson for the entire world in the present and future.

He expressed his thanks to the Municipality of the Capital, which organized this event this year and previous years… urging those concerned to turn this anniversary into a group of workshops, seminars and conferences to draw lessons from this crime and other crimes committed by the aggression coalition against the homeland.
