Al-Hamli meets new head of Spanish delegation of Doctors Without Borders
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Al-Hamli, met Monday the new head of the Spanish MSF mission in Yemen, Samuel Sileshi, and the former head of the mission, Caroline Ducarme, to bid farewell on the occasion of the end of her tenure in Yemen.
In the meeting, Al-Hamli praised the efforts of the former head of the mission, wishing the new head of the mission success in his duties and that the work will continue at a high pace.
He stressed the importance of the role played by the mission in the humanitarian aspect, pointing to the Council’s keenness to provide the necessary facilities for the mission and its workers, so that they can play their role to the fullest.
Al-Hamli pointed out the need for joint coordination between the council and the mission, in a way that contributes to achieving the common goal of humanitarian work.
For her part, the former head of the mission expressed her appreciation for all the efforts made by the Council during her term of office, wishing that facilities would continue to be provided for the work of the mission and support for the new head of the mission.
While the new head of the mission stressed the keenness to implement projects in partnership with the Council on an ongoing basis.
