Power outage causes death cases in Aden

Death cases have been reported as a result of the collapse of the electricity system in the most prominent stronghold of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia, media outlets reported.

“Cratersky” quoted medical sources as saying that deaths had been recorded, especially among patients.

The sources indicated that the deaths are the result of power outages for long hours.

The electricity system in Aden collapsed during the past hours, as power outage reached 6 hours per hour of operation and an average of 4 hours of operation during the entire day.

Electricity is one of several sectors that have been completely collapsed amid disagreements between the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition and the local STC authority over revenues.

The system collapsed again as pro-coalition government left the city.
