Electricity of Aden announces that 80 megawatts out of service

The electricity of the coalition-controlled city of Aden announced on Sunday that 80 megawatts have stopped service, and a comprehensive gradual exit of power over the coming hours.

The Electricity Department reported in press statements that the power plants began to gradually exit after stopping more than 80 megawatts, due to running out of fuel.

It explained that it had not received any attention from the authorities concerned with the provision of fuel, despite repeated appeals.

The Foundation also apologized to citizens for the high hours of shutdown and reduced operating hours during the first days of students’ tests, indicating that it made every effort to alleviate the suffering of parents, especially children and the elderly.

It expected that all stations would stop working in the coming hours and the total power outage in various neighborhoods of the city, which poses a threat to the cessation of various water and health services for citizens.
