Human rights condemn Saudi police arrest & assault by Yemeni female pilgrim, Al-Dhubyani
The Ministry of Human Rights condemned on Monday the arrest and assault by the Saudi police of the Yemeni pilgrim, Fikrah Al-Dhubyani, in the Great Mosque of Mecca.
The Ministry of Human Rights denounced, in a statement, a copy of which was received by Saba, that the Yemeni female pilgrim, Al-Dhubyani, was harassed and insulted by a policewoman in the Great Mosque of Mecca, before she was assaulted by a Saudi security officer.
It deplored the continued arbitrary violations of the Saudi regime against Yemeni women, considering this act not the first, but rather came after a similar attack against Marwa Al-Sabri last February, which is a violation of human rights and the sanctity of holy places, morals and human values.
The Ministry of Human Rights renewed the call to neutralize sacred feelings and distance them from politicization and irresponsible practices.
It demanded the speedy release of the female pilgrim, her rehabilitation, the release of all the absentees in the prisons of the Saudi regime, the cessation of its crimes, violations and arbitrary arrests against Yemeni men and women residing in the Kingdom’s lands, and the provision of legal protection for them.
