Meteorology expects rains to hit most provinces during next 24 hours

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) predicted that thundershowers of varying intensity to hit most of the Yemeni governorates during the next 24 hours.

The center said in its weather bulletin on Saturday, it expects rains of varying intensity to hit parts of the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Mahwit, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz and Dhalea.

The center indicated scattered rains are likely to hit parts of Shabwa, Bayda, north of Lahj, south of Marib, north and west of Jawf and parts of the western coasts and adjacent highlands.

Active to strong winds expected to blow at the entrance to Bab al-Mandeb, the western coasts and parts of the Gulf of Aden, ranging in speed between 18 to 28 knots, the center said.

The center warned citizens in areas where rains are expected not to be in torrential streams and valleys in order to preserve their safety and property.
