Transport Minister reaffirms no accounts of Yemen Airways have frozen
The Minister of Transport, Abd al-Wahhab Yahya al-Durra, reaffirmed that the accounts of Yemen Airways in banks in Sana’a and Aden are open to the company’s management for the disbursement of operating expenses, purchases, and employee dues.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Al-Durra denied what the company’s management in Aden is promoting about freezing the company’s accounts.
He pointed out that the continued prevention of the sale of tickets for Sana’a – Amman flights to travelers from the provinces of the Republic of Yemen led to an increase in the suffering of patients, travelers, and the company incurred losses.
The aggression coalition and its mercenaries and the Yemeni Airlines administration in Aden will bear the consequences.
He said, ” in the event that it continues to take such wrong decisions and procrastinate in implementing flights to other destinations required for patients and travelers, such as the destinations” India and Cairo.”
The necessary measures will be taken so that the company is committed to serving all the Yemeni people from all airports impartially, professionally and without discrimination, in accordance with its commitment as the national carrier of the Republic of Yemen.
