4.1 magnitude earthquake hits Turkey
An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale had been recorded, on Wednesday, in central Turkey, The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The authority confirmed that the epicenter of the quake occurred 9 km northeast of the city of Osmaniye, which is inhabited by 202,000 people.
The statement said that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 5 kilometers, and that there is no information yet about injuries or material damage as a result of the earthquake.
No casualties have been reports so far.
