5.6 magnitude earthquake hits China–Kyrgyzstan border
An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale was recorded on the border of China and Kyrgyzstan on Monday, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan.
The epicenter of the earthquake is located 278 kilometers southeast of the city of Almaty, on the border of Kyrgyzstan and China and at depth of 10 kilometers.
It is noteworthy that a few hours, the above-mentioned tremors, the same area witnessed a magnitude 5.9 earthquake at 03.42 local time (00.42 Sana’a time).
