Russian President to deliver his annual speech today

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday will deliver his annual speech to the Federal Assembly in which he presents his assessment of the special military operation and its prospects, international situation, and Russia’s social and economic issues.

This will be the first speech since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine.

Putin did not address the Federal Assembly  last year and explained that there are so many developments and there is an urgent need to focus on the results, which requires more time for additional analysis to make the speech foundational.

The speech begins at 12 o’clock Moscow time, in the presence of members of the Council of Ministers, deputies, senators and public figures, as well as for the first time by dignitaries from the participants in the special operation and their families.

Putin’s annual speech to the General Assembly sets the direction and development of the country’s politics, becoming the basis for state action, laws and decrees.
