Parliament stresses need to stop importing locally available agricultural products

The House of Representatives in Sanaa on Saturday stressed the need to encourage local agricultural products and work to stop importing locally available products from abroad, such as coffee, raisins, garlic, and others.

The parliament also urged on preventing the circulation of pesticides harmful to agricultural products and citizen health, and activating control over the prices of foodstuffs, medicines, and services.

This came during the Parliament’s discussion today a number of general issues, in the presence of the head of the Salvation Government, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, and the deputy prime ministers and ministers.
