Yemeni Foreign Ministry: US President’s statement reveals Washington’s role nature in obstructing peace in Yemen
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) a copy of it, that the contents of the US President’s statement issued Tuesday, of an implicit condemnation of Sana’a’s right to defend its people and territories and confront foreign aggression what America is implementing through its arms and tools in the region clearly reveals the nature of the American role that hinders peace in Yemen.
The State Department explained that the US President’s statement also reveals Washington’s determination to continue its criminal aggression against Yemen, as if it had not yet been satisfied with the war crimes and crimes against humanity it stood behind against the Yemeni people, including its shameful role in the killing of tens of thousands of innocent children, women and civilians, and in the unjust blockade that has created the worst humanitarian crisis in the world in the last hundred years.
The statement added, “The US president, by remembering the natural and legitimate Yemeni response to the UAE a year ago, and his attempt to shed tears over that incident and renew his reassurance to the UAE, is once again trying to implicate the UAE and other aggressor countries are more and more and encouraged to continue aggression and obstruct the current peace efforts.”
The Sana’a Foreign Ministry stressed in its statement issued Wednesday evening, that the tears of US President Joe Biden lack credibility because the security and safety of the UAE is achieved only by encouraging peace, And end its military presence and its partnership in the aggression against Yemen, not by reassuring it or pledging to protect it, because no force on earth can prevent the Yemeni people from defending themselves.
“Engaging in just and lasting peace efforts remains the only option available for the security and safety of the countries and peoples of the region, which is what Sana’a has been calling for, adhering to and fighting for for eight years,” it said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the right of the Republic of Yemen to defend its people, waters and territories and to confront firmly and strictly any hostile act from any quarter, and its great rejection and condemnation of all attempts to undermine the sanctity of this right accumulated by the rules and laws of mankind.
