Fisheries Ministry condemns mercenaries’ burning fisherman’s boat off coast Al-Khawkha
Fisheries Ministry condemned the aggression’s mercenaries’ burning of a fisherman’s boat on the Qataba coast in Al-Khawkhadistrict, Al-Hodeida province.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that one of the mercenary leaders barbarically burned the boat of the fisherman, Saeed Abdullah Al-Ahdal, on Friday evening.
It confirmed that this crime is the third in a row against the fishermen in Qataba area in Al-Khawkha, after the mercenaries burned 2 boats of the fisherman, Hussein Ahmed Zaghifi, last year.
The statement called on all human rights organizations to condemn the continuous violations that fishermen are subjected to and cut off their source of livelihood, through the harassment and attacks they are exposed to at the hands of the aggression mercenaries.
The ministry considered the attacks on fishermen, their kidnapping, the confiscation and burning of their boats, and the previous violations, war crimes against humanity that do not fall under the statute of limitations.
