National Meteorology Center expects cold to relatively cold weather in several provinces

The National Center of Meteorology on Friday expected cold to relatively cold weather in several governorates, with mist or fog forming on the western highlands and interior plateaus during the next 24 hours.

In its weather bulletin, the center expected that the weather would be cold in the provinces of Bayda, Dhamar, Sanaa, Amran and Saada, while relatively cold in the high areas of governorates of Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout and west of Marib and Jawf.

It pointed to the possibility of the formation of rusk or fog on parts of the western mountainous heights and interior plateaus during the night and early morning.

The center called on citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients and workers during the night and early morning hours, to take the necessary precautions to prevent themselves from cold weather. It urged farmers to take precautions against cold weather to protect their agricultural crops.

It  warned vehicle drivers in the western mountainous heights of low horizontal visibility as a result of mist or fog.
