Shura Council condemns Saudi army continued attacks on border areas

The Shura Council strongly condemned on Friday the Saudi army’s continued targeting of the border areas in Sa’ada province with artillery shells, which resulted in killing and injuring of a number of citizens, including African immigrants.

The council, in a statement, said that such criminal acts express the extent of the hatred of the Saudi regime, which leads the aggression coalition against Yemen, and reveal the falsity of its claims about peace.

The Council pointed out that the series of crimes and violations committed by the aggression on a daily basis, with artillery shells and spying warplanes in the border areas and the western coast, undermine all efforts and endeavors to establish peace and renew the armistice.

The statement indicated that the crimes committed by the Saudi army against defenseless citizens and the continuous violations are a flagrant violation and war crimes against humanity that are unjustified and will not be tolerated and will not be subject to statute of limitations.

The Council stressed that the patience of the Yemeni people will not be long and will not stand idly by in front of this continuous criminal arrogance, especially as it has possessed military capabilities that achieve a deterrent and earth-shattering response to all crimes of aggression.

The Council deplored the shameful silence of the international community and the United Nations regarding the continuation of the aggression for its unjustified crimes and continuous violations against the Yemeni people.
