SCMCHA Secretary-General & international, local organizations delegation are inspecting number of facilities needs in Sa’ada
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation (SCMCHA), Ibrahim Al-Hamli, the Director of the “OCHA” office, Sajjad Muhammad Sajid, and a number of representatives and officials of international and local organizations, today, Thursday, inspected the needs of the health and service sectors in Sa’ada province.
During the visit, accompanied by the Undersecretary of Sa’ada province for Humanitarian Affairs – Director of the Council Branch, Al-Hamli and his companions were briefed on the needs of the sports stadium, Sa’ada University, the central prison and the Republican Hospital Authority in the province.
They heard from officials of the civil sectors an explanation of the extent of damage to province facilities and the priorities of urgent needs to meet the minimum requirements of these facilities, enabling them to continue carrying out their tasks and work in providing services to citizens.
He pointed out that the visit to Sa’ada province aims to see the extent of the damage, and to find out the actual need from the reality, so that the council and humanitarian action partners can implement sustainable projects that contribute to alleviating the of citizens’ suffering and meeting their needs.
Al-Hamli pointed out the importance of the interventions of the United Nations and international and local organizations in Al-Jamhouri Hospital, by rehabilitating the hospital and providing the necessary capabilities, equipment and medicines so that the hospital can provide the necessary health services to patients.
Sajid expressed his happiness at visiting a number of vital facilities in Sa’ada province to see the humanitarian situation there.
He appreciated the efforts of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs for the facilities provided to organizations to implement humanitarian work.
