About 57 citizens killed in traffic accident

About 57 citizens were killed and injured in 31 traffic accidents in the capital Sanaa and the other provinces on Monday.

Statistics issued by the General Traffic Department confirmed the death of 3 citizens and the injury of 54 others, including 46 seriously.

The statistics indicated that traffic accidents caused material losses estimated at about 8 million and 250 thousand Yemeni riyals.

They stated that the causes of all traffic accidents mentioned are due to excessive speed and negligence of drivers and pedestrians.
