Sanaa gov’t legislates strict penalties against drug trafficking
Yemen’s cabinet, during its meeting on Sunday in Sanaa, headed by Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, reviewed on Sunday a memorandum regarding combating drug trafficking.
In the meeting, the council discussed the memorandum submitted by the Minister of Interior, Major General Abdul Karim Al-Houthi, on the draft amendment to Law No. (3) of 1993.
The draft law came to keep pace with the current conditions and define penalties, fixed and clear controls, and strict and deterrent measures against anyone who practices any act related to narcotics and psychotropic substances.
