Germany risks losing its sovereignty due to arms purchases from the USA, Wirtschafts magazine reported.

The writer of the article noted that German military companies are very concerned about cooperation with Washington in the field of supplying weapons from them.

A German specialist in the defense industry, said: “In terms of Germany’s sovereignty, we must make sure that we do not surrender ourselves entirely into the hands of the Americans for the next thirty to fifty years.”

The spokesman for German defence firm Diehl BGT Defence, added that the Bundestag’s actions risked losing “key important technologies” and thus Germany’s autonomy and sovereignty in arms matters.

According to observers, the main problem is that the German Defence Minister, Christine Lambrecht, decided to return German forces to combat readiness as soon as possible, relying on foreign weapons “ready and fast delivery.”

Earlier, the German newspaper Welt reported that the Bundeswehr had become “naked” because it had run out of weapons reserves after the handover to Kiev.
