STC militia begins transferring weapons outside Aden City

The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias, on Sunday began transforming its weapons outside its most prominent stronghold in Aden.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on testimonies of local sources.

According to the local sources, dozens of trucks left the STC’s camps in Aden under tight security protection at midnight, and some of those locomotives headed towards Dhalea and others Yafee.

During the night hours, Aden witnessed a heavy deployment of the factions of the Security Belt, which will take over the tasks of securing the city, under the leadership of the Ministry of Interior in the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition forces.

The transfer of STC weapons from Aden coincides with Saudi arrangements to hand over the city to the Salafi forces named “Shield of the Homeland” forces affiliated with Saudi forces, while finalizing the integration of the STC factions under the name of the Ministry of Defense.
