Local Authority in Taiz Condemns Crimes, Violations of US-Saudi Mercenaries Against Merchants
The Governor of Taiz, Major General Salah Bagash, condemned the arbitrary measures and repeated attacks against shop owners and the people of the governorate by armed gangs affiliated with the US-Saudi aggression.
Governor Bagash explained Friday that the chaos and lawlessness prevailing in the areas under the control of the US-Saudi mercenaries, is due to the militia’s tampering methodology and the policy of robbery of land and looting of public and private resources and properties.
For his part, the Member of the Supreme Political Council Sultan Al-Sami’i condemned the crimes of mercenaries against citizens in the city of Taiz, holding the US-Saudi aggression and its mercenaries responsible for chaos witnessed by the occupied areas in the government.
In a statement to Almasirah on Friday, Al-Sami’i announced his welcome and readiness to receive any of the merchants and businessmen who suffer as a result of the chaos in the occupied areas of Taiz.
The member of the Supreme Political Council called on all the people of Taiz governorate who live in the areas controlled by the aggression and mercenaries to confront this arrogance and to face such violations.
Amid the insecurity in Taiz, the US-Saudi mercenaries tightened the collection of levies and looted shops, and some merchants decided to move to the liberated areas of the government.
Southern governorates are witnessing security chaos, and almost daily crimes, under the control of the forces of US-Saudi aggression and Saudi-Emirati occupation. They witness increasing of assassinations involving military security leaders, religious and social tendencies, kidnapping, bombings and clashes between militants fighting for influence among them.
Recently, a gunman of the armed groups of the US-Saudi mercenaries killed a citizen, in front of his wife, in the Al-Shamaytayn district, in Taiz governorate, which is controlled by the forces of aggression. Local sources indicated that the citizen, Ali Al-Azazi, was killed in front of his wife, which caused her great shock, while the gunman ran away.
In the same regard, a citizen was killed by Saudi-mercenaries sniper gunfire in Taiz governorate.
Earlier, a citizen was injured by several scattered shrapnel after the mercenaries of the US-Saudi aggression targeted a chicken farm in the Rabat area in the city of Taiz.
The United Nations has confirmed that the security chaos in the southern governorates has become a source of concern for humanitarian workers. Deputy Director of Operations, Ghada Mudawi, assured the Security Council that the lack of security is a source of concern for workers, who are increasingly trying to steal cars, kidnappings and other attacks.
Saudi Arabia, backed by the United States and regional allies, launched the war on Yemen in March 2015, with the claim of bringing the government of former Yemeni president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi back to power.
The war has left hundreds of thousands of Yemenis dead, and displaced millions more. It has also destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and spread famine and infectious diseases there.
In light of its defeats on various frontlines and its failure to achieve any of its objectives, the US-Saudi aggression is notorious for its indiscrimination shown by its numerous attacks against densely-populated centers, including markets, hospitals, farms and schools.
