US President Joe Biden will not send any US official to attend Saudi Arabia’s ‘Davos of the Desert’, to be held at the end of this month, against the background of the decision of “OPEC+” to reduce oil production, the NBC reported.

NBC quoted three current and former US officials familiar with issue the fact that Biden administration officials are considering trying to dissuade US companies from expanding trade ties with Saudi Arabia as part of the US. response to the recent Saudi-led effort by oil-producing countries to cut global production.

The Biden administration will not send any officials to the annual Saudi Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyadh next week, officials said, although a senior administration official said the decision was made before the OPEC+ alliance announced on Oct. 5 that it would cut oil production by an average of two million barrels from next month.
