Three travel agencies closed in Sanaa
The Civil Aviation and Meteorological Authority (CAMA) on Sunday closed three travel agencies, which sold fake tickets and did not comply with the conditions of sale of tickets.
The Director General of CAMA , Dr. Mazen Ghanem, explained in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the Authority closed those agencies after receiving complaints from citizens of fraudulent operations selling fake air tickets.
He pointed out that these measures come within the framework of the Authority’s exercise of its legal powers and the strengthening of oversight aspects to protect travelers.
Ghanem called on citizens in case they are exposed to fraud or manipulation by travel agencies, to file a complaint and inform the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology.
He pointed out that the Authority has given travel agencies that are not licensed as well as those that are not committed to the controls, conditions and standards of practicing the profession an opportunity for a month starting next October, to correct their conditions, unless their activity will be stopped.
