SCMCHA Secretary-General lays foundation stone for maintenance main St. in Taiz
Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Ibrahim al-Hamli along with members of the Shura Council Mansour Saddam and Mahmoud Bajash laid on Tuesday the foundation stone for the maintenance project of the main street in Taiz province, starting from Mawiyah Junction to al-Hawban Roundabout.
The project aims to maintain and rehabilitate the 7.5-kilometre road, at a cost of $900,000, funded by the World Bank through the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), and under the supervision of the Roads Executive Unit and the Roads Maintenance Fund.
Undersecretary of Taiz for Technical Affairs Noman al-Hamri and Director of the Supreme Council for the Administration and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Taiz Ahmed al-Masawi confirmed that the project comes within the framework of celebrating the eighth anniversary of the September 21 revolution and the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday.
The project passes through many population centers that connects many provinces and will contribute to alleviating the traffic jams.
