YPC: US-Saudi Aggression Seizes New Diesel Ship in Addition to 12 Others, Violating UN-Sponsored Truce
The US-Saudi aggression seized a new diesel ship, in addition to 12 other seized fuel ships, Yemen Petroleum Company announced.
The official spokesman for the company, Issam Al-Mutawakil, explained that the aggression, with the participation of the UN, continues to violate the temporary truce, by seizing the diesel ship “Daytona” despite obtaining entry permits from the UN.
He pointed out that the number of fuel ships currently detained by the aggression has reached 13, considering that preventing fuel ships from entering the port of Hodeidah is a blatant violation of the truce, international and humanitarian laws.
He denounced the aggression’s persistence in increasing the suffering of the Yemeni people with the arbitrary and inhumane practices, causing the suspending of many service sectors especially the health, electricity, water and transportation sectors.
Al-Mutawakil called on the UN and organizations that claim their concern for peace by seeking to extend the truce to press the aggression to implement the terms of the truce, allowing the entry of fuel ships to the port of Hodeidah.
Earlier the President Mahdi Al-Mashat had warned the aggression against the continuation of piracy on fuel ships, stressing that if the fuel ships did not enter, consultations would be held in the Supreme Political Council to take the appropriate decision.
For his part, the Minister of Defense confirmed that the Armed Forces are fully prepared and ready to implement any decisions taken by President Al-Mashat.
