YPC announces emergency plan to reduce supply crisis fuels

The Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) announced that it was forced to work with an emergency plan from tomorrow morning, Sunday, to reduce the supply crisis due to the continued detention of 9 fuel vessels by the aggression coalition.

In a statement to SABA, YPC’s official spokesman Essam al-Mutawakel explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that as a result of the US-led coalition’s continued violation of the temporary truce through the continuation of piracy and the detention of fuel derivatives ships, which amounted to 9 vessels, that caused a supply crisis in oil derivatives.

He stated that the company, in its keenness to deliver the material to all citizens and manage the remaining stock, resorted to working with the emergency plan starting tomorrow, Sunday, noting that no fuel vessel was released during the second extension period of the temporary truce.

The company’s official spokesman reiterated that the aggression forces and the United Nations are held fully responsible for the direct, indirect humanitarian, economic consequences and consequences of the continuation of the tight blockade on fuel vessels.
