Palestinian prisoners step up their measures against Zionist Prison Service
The Palestinian prisoners in the occupation jails took protest steps rejecting the arbitrary measures against them. They began the steps by refusing to go out for the so-called security check, if the occupation refuses to respond to their demands they will go on a hunger strike.
At night, at dawn or even in the afternoon without warning, prisoners are surprised by Israeli forces standing at the doors of their cells to carry out the so-called “security check”, which is a thorough search of prisoners and their cells, a process that Palestinian prisoners will refuse to undergo as a protest step that will be followed by steps.
The main objective of the Palestinian prisoners is to improve their conditions under the practices of the Zionist Prison Service, which aims to harass them and deprive them of any rights that are supposed to be guaranteed to them in international laws as prisoners of war.
The battle of prisoners, which may develop in the coming days to reach an open hunger strike, which will be fought this time by more than 4500 Palestinian prisoners, need a firm official position with international institutions and real popular support, according to a statement by the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club.
It seems that the Israeli occupation is trying in this battle to impose itself as the strongest by refusing to negotiate with Palestinian Prisoners’ Movement until now.
The coming days seem to be a test of the prisoners’ resilience and a test for the Palestinian street that is supposed to provide them with support.
