President Al-Mashat calls on UN to commit to opening new destinations through Sanaa airport
President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, called on the United Nations to commit to opening new destinations through Sanaa International Airport in accordance with the provisions of the UN armistice.
Al-Mashat affirmed that these new destinations would contribute to alleviating the suffering of citizens traveling for treatment, expatriates, students and businessmen, leading to the complete opening of the airport without any restrictions.
This came during his meeting on Sunday with the Minister of Transport, Abdul Wahab Al-Durra, the head of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Mohammed Abdul Rahman, and deputy the authority, Raed Jabal.
President Al-Mashat was briefed on a report on the flights that were flown to Amman under the first and second armistice.
He stressed the need to pay attention to training and raising the level of efficiency of air navigation and meteorology workers, urging the provision of all necessary services and facilities for travelers to and from Sanaa Airport.
