Emergency meeting for humanitarian affairs, UN representatives held

Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Ibrahim al-Hamli discussed in an emergency meeting on Wednesday with UN representatives of international and local organizations urgent interventions to help those who are affected in areas swept by torrential rains.

SCMCHA Secretary-General called for the speedy implementation of urgent interventions to confront floods’ damages in Al-Jawf and Hajjah provinces, which resulted in the demolition of dozens of houses and the razing of agricultural lands.

Al-Hamli noted the need for humanitarian organizations and partners to play their part in providing the needs of the affected families, like shelter bags and urgent food baskets.
