Human Rights Office in Taiz calls on UN to pressure other side to deal positively with Sanaa Initiative
The Human Rights Office in Taiz province on Friday called on the United Nations to put pressure on the other side to deal positively with Sanaa’s initiative to open roads to alleviate the suffering of citizens.
In a statement issued today, the Human Rights Office in Taiz valued the initiative of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa to unilaterally open a safe road as a humanitarian corridor to the city of Taiz, represented by the Sixty-Fifty Road leading to Al-Nour City.
The office stressed that the deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian objects, indiscriminate attacks, and the imposition of sieges on roads, bridges, and others are prohibited under international law.
