Saudi Arabia suspends Omani telecommunications company in Aden

Security factions attacked an Omani telecommunications company in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on testimonies of local sources.

According to local sources, security forces loyal to Saudi Arabia’s have cut off  broadcasting and confiscated 4G for ( Yemen Oman United (YOU) telecommunication company) , disrupting  telecommunications in several directorates.

The campaign against the company came  after direct directives from the Saudi ambassador.

According to the sources, Saudi Arabia fears that the Yemen Oman You company will  take control over  the sector, especially the company offers benefits that are not available in Aden.

Saudi Arabia is now pushing the troubled ‘Aden Net’ company to try to counter the expansion, the Omani company.

This  indicates that the motives are not as justified and claimed  by Maeen Abdul-Malik  government, in which it said that the company belongs to Sanaa, but rather a regional conflict over telecommunications sector in Yemen.
