Meteorology expects rainfall on several Yemeni provinces

The National Center of Meteorology has expected rainfall, with thunderstorms, on most Yemeni provinces for the coming 24 hours.

The center said, in its weather bulletin, that the rains might be heavier in the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Dhamar, west of Sanaa, Mahweet and Hajjah, and extend to parts of the hilltops of -Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Bayda and Abyan.

It pointed out that the weather would be warm and humid, partly cloudy to cloudy, with rain of varying intensity on the eastern and southern coasts.

While the weather might be warm, dry and relatively dusty in the desert areas, where temperatures range from 38 to 42 degrees Celsius.

The center pointed to the activity of the monsoon winds on the Socotra archipelago, as it would reach 35 knots, disturbing the sea and raising the waves.

It warned citizens in areas where rain expected to avoid being in water ways and lanes, as well as vehicle drivers on roads and mountain slopes, from low horizontal visibility due to rain and low clouds.
