PM praises performance of Culture Ministry over past years

The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, on Monday praised the great performance of the Ministry of Culture and its affiliates and their tangible achievements over the past years.

This came during his meeting with the Minister of Culture, Abdullah Al-Kibsi, who handed him a report on the most prominent achievements of the ministry and its bodies during the past period until last year.

The report dealt with the nature of the tasks of the ministry, which deals with cultural issues and intellectuals, including writers, poets, and the heritage of Yemen and its ancient history, and the responsibility to preserve it and protect and publicize it nationally, regionally and internationally.

The report touched on what the ministry has achieved in the areas of structural building development, maintenance and restoration of manuscripts, electronic documentation of artifacts, and restoration, rescue and maintenance of many historical evidence embodying the depth and sophistication of Yemeni civilization.
