Oil Ministry: Giant oil tanker reportedly preparing to loot vast amounts of oil

An official at the Ministry of Oil and Minerals in the National Salvation Government said that a giant oil tanker is currently transferring a large shipment of Yemeni crude oil in a continuation of the organized looting by the Saudi-led coalition and its mercenaries of crude oil revenues in the light of their continuing to cut the salaries of state employees for more than six years.

“The giant tanker “APOLYTARES” arrived a few days ago at the port of al-Shihr in Hadhramaut province to load more than two million barrels of crude oil, noting that the value of this shipment is more than $270 million, according to oil prices in the stock exchange globally, which is equivalent to 162 billion Y.R,”  the official said in a statement to Yemen News Agency (Saba).

He pointed out that this shipment alone is sufficient to cover the salaries of state employees in all Yemeni provinces for two months, indicating that the aggression and its mercenaries issue on a monthly basis at least one shipment of this type, as the tanker “APOLYTARES” had docked on April 10 at the port of al-Shihr and carried 2.3 million barrels.

The official expressed the ministry’s strong condemnation of the continuation of the aggression and its mercenaries to looting oil revenues, estimated at hundreds of billions per month, at a time when they deliberately cut the salaries of state employees and invest the suffering of the Yemeni people.

He also called on the United Nations and the international community to stop the organized looting of oil and gas resources by the  Saudi-led coalition forces and their mercenaries.
