Information Ministry condemns kidnapping of journalist Naziha Al-Junaid
The Ministry of Information condemned on Saturday the kidnapping of journalist Naziha Nasser Al-Junaid by the Saudi-led coalition’s mercenaries in Marib city, considering this crime a blatant violation of human rights and press freedom.
In a statement received by the Yemen News Agency (Saba), the Ministry stated that this crime is one of the continuous crimes and violations committed by the aggression coalition and its mercenaries against the Yemeni people, including women and children, for more than seven years.
The Ministry pointed out that journalist Al-Junaid has been kidnapped since the beginning of 2021, and she is still abducted up to this day, affirming that this crime is contrary to the customs and values of the Yemeni people.
The statement called on the activists, human rights defenders, Arab and international press organizations and unions concerned with protecting journalists to condemn this crime to pressure the aggression forces in Marib to release Al-Junaid and all the abducted women.
