5 civilians killed in Hodeida by landmine blast

Five civilians were killed in Hodeida province on Wednesday by an explosion of a landmine left by the US-Saudi aggression coalition forces.

The Yemen Executive Mine Action Center (YEMAC) said in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the five civilians are from one family killed in Kilo 16 area in Hodeida.

The statement indicated that since the beginning of this March, it has monitored the death and injury of 28 civilians by the explosion of cluster bombs and remnants of war.

The Center nearly records victims every day due to the heavy contamination of the cluster bombs and the failure to provide the requirements for marking areas contaminated with cluster bombs and remnants of war.
