Meteorology Center alerts motorists on desert roads, mountain slopes
The National Center of Meteorology on Saturday called on motorists on desert roads and mountain slopes to take precautions and beware of dusty and foggy weather during the coming hours.
In its weather bulletin Saturday, the center stated that the desert areas are relatively dusty and tend to be cold during the night and early morning, and the moderate-speed winds are sometimes active, stirring dust and sand.
The sky of the mountainous heights is cloud-free and relatively cold during the night and early morning over the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, and Bayda during the next 24 hours.
The center expected the possibility of fog forming over parts of the provinces of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Ibb, Taiz, and Lahj, while the weather would be clear to partly cloudy during the day, with the possibility of light rain falling on separate parts of it.
The center advised citizens, especially the elderly, children, the sick, workers during the night and early morning, and travelers to the aforementioned mountainous provinces, to take the necessary precautions to prevent cold weather.
