Foreign Affairs Minister meets UN Resident Coordinator in Yemen
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hisham Sharaf Abdullah, met on Tuesday with the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen, William David Grisley.
The meeting discussed the issue of reopening Sana’a International Airport to enable civilians and various sick cases to travel for treatment, allow the flow of oil derivatives to the port of Hodeida, and lift the siege imposed on millions of Yemenis.
In the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs referred to the continuation of the military escalation of the Saudi-Emirati aggression and the continuation of the aggression’s warplanes targeting civilians, destroying infrastructure and terrorizing citizens.
He indicated that the defensive forces of Sana’a will respond to any attack or provocation as long as the barbaric aggression and comprehensive siege continue.
In turn, the United Nations Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs stressed the need for civilians to be neutralized.
