Gasoline prices hit record levels in Hadramout
Several cities in the rich-oil Hadramout province have been experiencing a fuel crisis in the past few hours, local sources said.
The sources confirmed that the civil fuel stations closed their doors to the citizens, and limited the sale of fuel to the oil company’s stations, which seen congestion and long queue of cars.
Moreover, the sources explained that the price of a liter of gasoline in the oil company’s stations exceeded 890 riyals, and the price on the black market exceeded 1150 riyals.
Pro-UAE tribes in the Hadramout Valley resumed establishment of armed points in mid-last week and prevented the passage of oil tankers from going to Mukalla and the rest of Yemen.
The tribes demand the military enlistment of 25,000 Hadramout residents in order to replace the so-called First Military Zone forces, whom are loyal to the Islah Party, as well as demanding an end to corruption in Hadramout’s oil and fish industries.
