WAFF: Severe punishment against Syrian’s assistant coach who assaulted Yemeni player
The West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) has fined the Syrian Football Association $10,000 over the assult by the assistany coach Louay Othman on the Yemeni youth, Saeed al-Awlaki.
The WAFF has also decided to impose a suspension of the assistant coach of the junior national team, Louay Othman, for six official matches .
Earlier, the Syrian Football Association announced the suspension of the assistant coach of the junior national team, Louay Othman, and prevented him from accompanying any club or national team until further notice.
The case of the Syrian coach assaulting the Yemeni player has provoked public opinion and resentment about the behaviour of a coach towards a young player, which has led to demands that punishment must be taken to be taken.
