Yemeni People Will Not Remain Silent About Continued US-Saudi Aggression, Siege: Hodeidah Governor
The governor of Hodeidah confirmed that the US-Saudi aggression’s threat to target the port of Hodeidah is not new and had targeted it previously.
In an intervention on Almasirah TV, Mohammad Qahim, said that “the international community is silent in the face of the aggression’s piracy of fuel and food ships,” adding that “the international silence regarding the aggression’s threat to target the port of Hodeidah confirms its duplicity towards the Yemeni crisis.”
He pointed out that the United Nations should be ashamed of its silence as the detained ships were subject to the UN inspection mechanism, stressing that the Yemeni people will not remain silent about the continued aggression and siege.
On Thursday, the Head of National Delegation, Mohammed Abdulsalam, said that the US-Saudi aggression’s threat of targeting civilian facilities is not new, mentioning that Sana’a International Airport and other facilities were targeted a few days ago under ridiculous claims and fabricating false justifications.
In a tweet, Abdulsalam pointed that Hodeidah port is closed since it was bombed by US-Saudi airstrikes in 2015, except for rare humanitarian operations.
The local authority in Hodeidah also condemned, in the strongest terms, the statements of the US-Saudi aggression coalition regarding the governorate’s ports.
It called on the United Nations and the international community to take responsibility and stop all forms of threats issued by the US-Saudi aggression against the ports of Hodeidah, and to lift the blockade and restrictions on the movement of ships carrying food and medicine for the Yemeni people.
