Pakistani minister survives armed attack

Pakistani Minister of Science and Technology Shibli Faraz survived an armed attack targeting him in the northwest province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Chaudhry Fouad Hussein wrote on Twitter that Minister Faraz was on his way to the Kohat area when gunmen targeted his car, stressing that Faraz was not harmed while his driver was injured.

For his part, Faraz said on Twitter after the attack that the driver was taken to a nearby hospital and is in stable condition, adding that the unknown gunmen also threw stones at his car, which broke the windows of the car and then injured the driver.
