Industry Minister stresses on academic institutions’ role in developing national economy
Minister of Industry and Trade Abdulwahab Al-Durra on Saturday stressed the importance of universities and academic institutions’ role in developing and supporting the national economy in the country.
This came during a meeting held in Sana’a to discuss arrangements for the International Scientific Conference on Modern Trends in the Information and Communications Industry and organized by Al-Razi University in cooperation with the Telecommunications and Information Technology Syndicate.
“Universities and academic institutions have a great responsibility in refining the skills of Yemeni youth to serve development and solve the various issues and challenges facing the country in light of the aggression and siege and within the framework of the directions of the National Salvation Government,” Al-Durra said.
He pointed out that Yemen possesses cadres and a great human wealth capable of making a major qualitative leap in various fields of work.
Al-Durra expressed the readiness of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to develop cooperation with the university and its scientific and academic programs and activities to establish strong scientific foundations for plans for advancement and development in accordance with the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state.
